LED parking lot lights are essential for any commercial and residential property. The lights keep the premises safe and welcoming for the customers. However, it is sometimes mentioned that parking lots are often overlooked when it comes to maintenance and upgrade. Well-lit parking lots help the vehicle owners to navigate their vehicles perfectly and make the visitors feel safe. Here are some features that you should know about LED pole lights.

Energy savings - The primary motivation for any significant business establishment is cost savings. In addition to energy savings, the annual maintenance cost is also reduced when you switch to pole lights

The functional life span of LED light fixtures is quite more than conventional ones. The LED lights consume significantly less amount of power when compared to other light resources.

The overall brightness quality of the conventional light resources is relatively low compared to LED lights. With increased brightness, LED lights reduce the risk of accidents happening during vehicle navigation.

LEDs vs. HIDs - LED pole lights operate differently from traditional HID (high-intensity discharge) lamps. Compared with the HIDs, LED light fixtures to consume 50% less energy and provide overall better lighting than HIDs.

The LED pole lights can last up to 50,000 hours more, and the brightness is emitted with the help of semiconductors. HIDs are gas discharge arc lamps where light is emitted due to electric diodes and ionized gas meets. Unfortunately, HIDs are not recyclable and eco-friendly to operate.

LED pole lights have even light distribution, which can cover sizeable areas. On the other hand, HIDs require a significant amount of time to warm up and illuminate. LEDs also come with exceptional warranty periods and more minor maintenance requirements.

Replacement and Retrofits - Retrofitting means adding a new LED that fits the existing systems.  By retrofitting, you can increase the efficiency of your existing lighting fixtures in terms of longevity and brightness.

Retrofits match your design needs as they do not alter the existing fixtures but just improvise them. They increase the efficiency of your older light fixtures and deliver adequate lighting to a given space.

On the other hand, replacements become costly compared to retrofitting older fixtures.
